Celebrate Success

When success becomes the norm we must be more deliberate about celebrating it. Remember when you were a kid and playing sports, regardless of the sport, remember how excited you were when you did something for the first time? Do you remember celebrating your first goal, had your first hit, or crossing that end-zone for the first time? That feeling of excitement at accomplishing something for the first time just can't be put into words.

As the games went on, and the years passed by you probably didn’t celebrate the next goal, hit or touchdown quite the same, did you? The same holds true in our business, think back to your first new client or the first time you hit your annual goals, those were pretty special times, right? Over time, things become the norm. Of course, you are going to get new clients and hit the lofty goals you have set for your practice.

This is the time of year where you start planning for the upcoming year, but I want to encourage you to look back at some of the successes from 2017 and celebrate. Celebrate the AUM you were able to attract, celebrate the families who have trusted you to give them confidence in their financial situation. Celebrate another successful year and enjoy the opportunities that are ahead in 2018!
